Shannon purchased Adirondack Quilts in Feb. ’08 after managing it for 3 years for Maryann and J’aime. When the opportunity arose to purchase the shop, Bill, Shannon’s then significant other (now husband), whole heartedly encouraged her to take it. He said “you can do this”. She has been adding different types of fabric to the collection and has brought in Handi Quilter ® and Pfaff ® machines to make for a full service shop. Shannon has sewn for most of her life starting at age 11 or 12 as a 4-H member making clothing. It wasn’t until college that she tried her first quilt using templates and scissors. She finally got serious about quilting a few years later after discovering that the rotary cutter had replaced the templates and scissors! Shannon has been quilting now for 13 years and long-arming since 2006. She enjoys all aspects of the quilting process and quilting techniques whether by hand or machine. Her other interests include, knitting, embroidery, bowling and of course riding her own motorcycle! She and Bill are avid motorcyclists, riding from Harley shop to Quilting shop!
Shannon, Bill, and their dedicated staff here at Adirondack Quilts like to keep the atomsphere upbeat and cheerful with a good sense of humor and good customer service.
