Rope Bowl



The art of creating bowls, place mats and coasters using wrapped rope or clothesline is known as coil sewing. This craft technique involves wrapping the rope or cord with fabric strips and then sewing it in a coil pattern to create a sturdy and attractive finished product.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: All skill levels welcome
Materials Included: Pattern, clothesline, Glue, Denim Needle
Requirements: Sewing machine with zigzag foot, an open toe foot if you have one, pins, thread to match your fabric, Bring 1 yard of Batik fabric or 1/2 each of 2 Batik fabrics. Rotary Cutter, ruler and cutting mat.
